Los Haitises & Cayo Levantado
One of the most breathtaking full-day tours in Samaná, combining two very different landscapes in a single trip: the mangrove channels and limestone caves of Los Haitises National Park, and the white-sand, palm-lined beach of Cayo Levantado — better known as Bacardi Island.
The day begins with a boat departure from Samaná into Los Haitises National Park, a UNESCO-listed landscape of mangrove channels, sea caves, and limestone islets rising straight out of the bay. Your guide takes you through the mangroves and into caves with Taíno cave art before the boat continues on to Cayo Levantado.
At Cayo Levantado you'll have free time to swim and relax on one of the most photographed beaches in the Dominican Republic — white sand, turquoise water, and palm trees right down to the shoreline. Lunch and snorkeling gear are included.
